Weekend Recipes: Spicy Turkey Tacos


This spicy turkey taco recipe is healthy and definitely brings the fire with a number of different spicy sauces!

What You Need

  • 1 tbs extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 chopped onion
  • Cajun seasoning
  • 1 lb ground turkey, dark or light meat
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • Sriracha Sauce
  • Hot Sauce
  • Tabasco Pepper Sauce (Green)
  • Tabasco Pepper Sauce (Sweet & Spicy)
  • 8 whole wheat tortillas (or corn shells)
  • Lettuce
  • Pepper jack cheese
  • shredded cheddar cheese
  • chopped avocado
  • chopped tomatoes

How To Make It

Heat the olive oil over medium heat in a skillet. Add half of the chopped onion and top with Cajun seasoning. Sauté 3-5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the onions are softened. Add the turkey, garlic, and additional Cajun seasoning. Cook the turkey, stirring occasionally, until browned and cooked all the way through, this should take 8 minutes. Make the tacos by filling each tortilla with cooked turkey and top with the various toppings. After adding the toppings bring the fire by adding the various Tabasco sauces, hot sauce, and sriracha sauce.
