Weekend Recipes: Spicy Fajitas

Want to make your own fajitas? I’m the man to help you out with that. I get a little creative with my recipe, definitely hope you enjoy.

What You Need

  • 1 lb. boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into thin strips
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • Black Pepper
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 green pepper, sliced
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 3 garlic cloves, chopped
  • 1 1/2 tablespoon. fresh lime juice
  • 8 warm flour tortillas
  • Grated Cheddar cheese, for serving
  • Cilantro, for serving
  • Lime wedges, for serving

How To Make It

Season chicken with cumin, chili powder, and pepper. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add chicken and cook, stirring occasionally, until cooked through, 5 to 7 minutes. Remove to a plate. Add pepper, onion, mushrooms, and garlic to skillet and cook, stirring occasionally, until soft, 4 to 6 minutes. Stir in lime juice, and chicken. Cook stirring until warm. Season again with pepper. Serve. This recipe makes around four servings and takes from 35 minutes to 45 minutes to prepare.
